LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - The Ohio State Beauty Academy hosted their 2026 Spring Student Talent Showcase Thursday evening.
The theme was "A Night at Nickelodeon" and each student had a model paired with them that they custom designed. From 90s cartoons to new age TV Shows, each model had a unique look. The hairstyles were paired with creative makeup applications, nail art, as well as the costume designs. The students selected their characters back in February and since early March, they have been planning the looks and ideas. With a panel of experts judging each look, winners of the contest will receive a certificate and medal.
"Part of the walk is embodying the character, and I think that part's really fun. But also, like being able to show off my friend's work and show people such amazing talent. That's also one of my favorite parts," says Teray Anna Johnson, a model for the event.
Not only were the students who designed the outfits able to show off their work to their peers, but also have their friends be able to participate in their success.
