WAPAKONETA (WLIO) — Weather interrupted postseason softball Tuesday night as the Division VI district semifinal between Minster and Parkway was suspended in the third inning at Wapakoneta High School.
The matchup featured two Midwest Athletic Conference rivals meeting for the second time this season after Parkway won the first contest back on April 23 by a 14-13 final.
Minster’s Brianna Osterloh set the tone early in the circle, recording a swinging strikeout in the opening inning as part of a four-strikeout performance through two innings of work.
Parkway pitcher Bryn Schoenleben matched her inning for inning. The Panther senior struck out back-to-back batters in the second to keep the Wildcats off the scoreboard.
The game was suspended in the top of the third inning with the score tied 0-0.
Play is scheduled to resume Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Wapakoneta High School.
