Several District semifinal softball matchups set after busy night of sectional finals

LIMA (WLIO) — The Division VI softball tournament field continued to take shape Tuesday night as several area teams punched their tickets to the district semifinals.
Allen East advanced after defeating Spencerville and will now face Columbus Grove on Monday at Bath. The Bulldogs earned their spot by edging Riverdale 8-7.
Parkway rolled past New Bremen 20-5, while Minster defeated Marion Local 7-1. The Panthers and Wildcats are scheduled to meet Tuesday at Wapakoneta.
Patrick Henry survived a 10-9 battle against Tinora and advances to face top-seeded Hicksville on Tuesday.
In more Division VI action, Lincolnview knocked off St. Henry 10-6, while Coldwater defeated Crestview by the same score. The Lancers and Cavaliers will square off Tuesday at Wapakoneta.
Ada also moved on after beating Perry in five innings and will meet Carey on Tuesday. Lima Central Catholic saw its season end in a 9-8 loss to the Blue Devils.
