(LINCOLNVIEW) — One of the best turnaround stories in the area belongs to Lincolnview.
After winning just five games a season ago, the Lancers have flipped the script in a big way—now sitting at 22 wins and counting following a 58-45 victory over Colonel Crawford in the regional final.
It was a complete team performance that punched Lincolnview’s ticket to the state tournament for the first time in a decade.
The Lancers now turn their attention to a tough test ahead, as they prepare to face Marion Local in the Division VI state semifinal. Marion Local is making its second consecutive trip to state, setting up a compelling matchup.
Head coach Brett Hammons says the key for his team is to keep the same energy that fueled their postseason run, while also embracing the moment on the big stage.
Lincolnview will look to continue its remarkable season when the two teams meet Friday in the state semifinal.
