LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Downtown Lima Inc. is preparing to kick off another season of Third Thursdays beginning May 21, bringing expanded activities and new affordable promotions to downtown Lima.
Organizers say the annual event series continues to grow each year and will now run for five months, from May through September. Downtown streets will be filled with activities, including a special Thursday edition of the Lima Farmers Market, an open invitation cruise-in for all types of vehicles and live entertainment.
This year, organizers are centering many of the activities around the number five, with several special $5 promotions available throughout downtown.
“We did expand to five months this year, May through September, and then we have several $5 opportunities downtown,” said Cricket Rodriguez executive director of Downtown Lima Inc. “As we know prices are going up everywhere, so we want to give you a chance to come downtown and explore it on $5 options.”
The promotions include a Taste of Downtown event featuring special menu selections at participating restaurants and a $5 Shop Hop where merchants will offer either $5 items or $5 discounts. Joey’s will also return with its popular $5 hot dog special.
