COLUMBUS GROVE, OH (WLIO) - The Columbus Grove Bulldogs faced Northwest Conference rival Lima Central Catholic in a Division VI matchup.
The Bulldogs won the first meeting between the teams on Jan. 8 and carried that momentum into the rematch.
Columbus Grove took control early in the opening quarter when senior Allison Thompson knocked down a 3-pointer to give the Bulldogs the lead.
Thompson later turned defense into offense, recording a steal and finishing on the other end. She finished with 10 points.
Northwest Conference Player of the Year Nicole Nesby led the way for Columbus Grove.
The senior scored on a strong drive to the basket and added another inside finish a few possessions later. Nesby, a first-team All-NWC and All-PCL selection, recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Columbus Grove secured the win, 61-23.
