Max Hammons’ 24 lifts Lincolnview past Crestview in NWC regional semifinal rematch

BOWLING GREEN (WLIO) — Lincolnview won the Northwest Conference rematch with Crestview, defeating the Knights 53-46 in a Division VI regional semifinal at Bowling Green State University.
The Lancers led 14-8 after the first quarter and held a narrow 22-21 advantage at halftime as Crestview stayed within striking distance behind Will Sheets, who led the Knights with 19 points.
Crestview briefly grabbed the lead in the third quarter with baskets from Liam Putman and Hayden Perrott, but Lincolnview answered behind Max Hammons. The junior poured in a game-high 24 points, including a key three-pointer that helped the Lancers regain control.
Lincolnview finished the job in the fourth quarter and now advances to the regional final, where it will face Colonel Crawford on Saturday at 6 p.m.
