LIMA — The rivalry stayed red and black on Thursday night as Lima Senior shut out Lima Central Catholic 3-0 at Spartan Stadium.
The Spartans, playing on Pink Out Night, extended their dominant stretch after outscoring their last two opponents 18-0 coming into the matchup. LCC goalkeeper Corie Schnieders kept the Thunderbirds in it early with three first-half saves, but Lima Senior eventually broke through.
Angela Fronzaglia converted a penalty kick late in the first half to give the Spartans a 1-0 lead. After halftime, senior forward Adriana Good took over, slicing through the Thunderbird defense for back-to-back goals to secure the win.
The victory keeps Lima Senior’s scoreless streak alive as the Spartans continue to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
