Coldwater overpowers Minster 34–7 in ranked MAC battle

COLDWATER, Ohio (WLIO) — Another marquee Midwest Athletic Conference matchup featured two state-ranked teams Friday night as Division VI No. 6 Coldwater hosted Division VII No. 8 Minster.
The Cavaliers built a 20–0 halftime lead and wasted no time extending it in the second half.
Derek Dues broke free for a tough run, then capped off the drive with a touchdown reception to push the lead to 27–0.Minster tried to generate momentum behind Dominick Meyer, who ripped off a 15-yard gain, but the Wildcats failed to score on the drive.
Coldwater answered with another explosive play — Karter Freed sprinted past defenders for a long touchdown run to make it 34–0.
Meyer eventually broke through for Minster’s lone score in the closing moments, but the Cavaliers controlled the game from start to finish.
Final Score: Coldwater 34, Minster 7.
Coldwater improves to 5–0 while Minster takes its first loss of the season.
