Carla Siegel steps down after historic run leading Fort Loramie girls basketball

FORT LORAMIE, Ohio (WLIO) — One of the most decorated coaching careers in Ohio high school basketball has come to an end.
Longtime Fort Loramie Redskins head coach Carla Siegel is stepping down after 27 seasons leading the program.
During her tenure, Siegel built Fort Loramie into a powerhouse, guiding the Redskins to 18 Shelby County League championships, 22 district titles, and 10 regional crowns.
On the state’s biggest stage, Fort Loramie finished as runner-up twice and captured four state championships in 2013, 2015, 2021, and 2024.
Siegel also leaves her mark in the record books, finishing with 584 career wins — ranking 14th all-time in Ohio High School Athletic Association history.
Her impact on the program and community cements a legacy that will be remembered as one of the best in Ohio high school basketball.
