Music Matters Ohio is partnering with Shawnee Local Schools to host an instrument drive aimed at helping students gain access to music education. Community members are encouraged to donate gently used instruments on May 30 at Shawnee High School.
The Lima Kiwanis Club honored 11 Allen County high school musicians with the prestigious John Philip Sousa Award. Elida senior Benton Harris was also awarded a $4,000 scholarship to pursue a degree in music education.
