The City of Lima will hold its second Mayor’s Spring Clean-Up event this weekend with five dumpster locations available for residents. Organizers say last week’s event brought in hundreds of participants and resulted in dozens of dumpsters being filled.
On Saturday, June 7, and again on Saturday, June 14, dumpsters will be available at various ward locations for residents to use free of charge.
“You can bring tires, brush, junk furniture, but do not bring any hazardous waste or chemicals,” said Angie Rex, a property maintenance code inspector. “Paint can be accepted if it has been dried out or treated with kitty litter. If it’s still in liquid form, we won’t take it.”
