“You can bring tires, brush, junk furniture, but do not bring any hazardous waste or chemicals,” said Angie Rex, a property maintenance code inspector. “Paint can be accepted if it has been dried out or treated with kitty litter. If it’s still in liquid form, we won’t take it.”

As the temperatures warm up, people are getting out into their yards and garages to do a little spring cleaning, and the City of Lima is once again offering residents a way to dispose of many items they may want to get rid of. The Mayor's Spring Clean Up dates have been announced. The first date is on Saturday, May 4, 2024, followed by May 11, and then on June 1 and June 8. Dumpsters will be located at several locations around the city from 9 a.m. to noon.
