An iron worker on the job at the Husky Lima Refinery was injured after a possible medical condition may have caused him to fall at the plant on Tuesday.
Husky spokeswoman in Calgary Alberta, Canada Colleen McConnell confirmed the incident to Your News Now.
She says Husky along with Tuttle Construction have started an investigation into the incident.
The worker was not an employee of either company, he was working out of a union shop. Tuttle's Director of Safety Byron Winner says the 49 year old male, whose name is not being released, appears to have been injured in a non-work related incident.
Winner says the official cause of the 15 to 20 foot fall is undetermined but they are leaning toward something happening prior to the fall.
The injured man was transported to St. Rita's Medical Center by Shawnee Township Fire and Rescue for treatment of his injuries.
His condition is unknown but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
