LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Lima Fire Department announced multiple promotions during the mayor’s conference on Wedneday, recognizing the experience and achievements of two longtime firefighters.
Twelve-year veteran Kendall Harrod was promoted to lieutenant. In 2024, Harrod was nominated for a Star of Life Award and was named Firefighter of the Year by the Lima Noon Sertoma Club.
Also recognized was Lee Parker, who has served with the department for more than 14 years and has been promoted to captain. Parker completed his Fire Officer I and II certifications in preparation for his advancement.
City officials say the promotions reflect the department’s commitment to professional development and leadership within its ranks.
