LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - The Lima Senior High School department presented their "Visual Energy" art exhibit at the Allen County Museum.

"Visual Energy" annually features different kinds of artwork of freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who are involved in the art program at Lima Senior. To honor their dedication and work, students show off their pieces at the Allen County Museum until mid May. Each piece tells a different story, and students feel as though their work pays off for Lima locals to see.

Lima Senior High School students showcase talent in art exhibit

"A lot of times, we'll have a kid who's doing poorly in the tested subjects and completely flourishing in the arts. Not even just visual arts, but like orchestra, band and choir. So, a lot of times when they get those successes, it builds confidence in the other classes as well," says Karlyn Short, visual arts teacher for Lima Senior.

The exhibit will be up until May 15th, so be sure to stop by the Allen County Museum to check it out.
